Through never organized in any meaningful way until Christoph Angelsea compiled a slim volume of transposed oral tales in 1952, the folktales of the Hilkin People have been recorded and referenced sporadically in a number of academic journals. Different versions of the tales were later record in audio format by Simon Bridgwater in the late seventies, though their authenticity has been question and most of the physical recordings been lost.
